Christian outreach - How research can help you grow your church?

How many churches really are scowering the internet for news and topical issues that concern your local area?

This is a prime example of how internet marketing principles definitely overlap in growing the Kingdom.

Lets face it, the church is often seen as irrelevant and boring in this day and age.  We face battles
to change this perception which we know is not true.  A great way in starting to redress this balance is
to find out the kind of topical issues people are concerned about.

Let me ask you a question, when was the last time that you actually proactively looked at the issues that were important to people to people in your community?

Here are some ways to keep current

1. Google news
2, Google blogs
3. facebook / youtube / twitter

I know I am talking again about these websites that are predominantly seen as kids websites, but the fact is these are now used by a broad spectrum of users in many different age brackets.

Your community uses them.

I get emails daily from news items through google that relate to items I want to write about but also
what is happening in our community because we want to be a church of significance in our town that is
relevant to the world of today.
